Victoria is served by Victoria International Airport (YYJ) and can also be reached by other modes of transportation as detailed here. The YYJ Shuttle is one option for transportation from Victoria International Airport to the Victoria Conference Centre area.

Visitor Visa and/or electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) for traveling to Canada

Changes have recently been implemented regarding travel to Canada. Please check the Visit Canada website to determine the type of documentation needed to enter Canada. Contact Jenny Ramarui, Conference Coordinator ([email protected]) if you need a letter of participation. Attendees needing a visa are encouraged to apply at least 12 weeks in advance of travel dates.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has officially recognized the Ocean Optics Conference as special event in Canada (the event code is 16OOSS). Information about the conference will be disseminated to Canadian visa offices world-wide, which should help the application process go more smoothly.
